The 1st International Conference on Village Revitalization The 9th International Conference of Design for Sustainability

ICVR is a 2 yearly Spedagi program focusing on village revitalization. ICVR’s activities include excursion, discussion, presentation/seminar and workshop that involve local and international participants. ICVR will always take village location and principles which is simplicity and usefulness in every activity. The first ICVR will be held on the 16th-21st of March 2014. This conference is in collaboration with International Conference of Design for Sustainability-ICDS (www.sustainabledesign.jp) which is an annual international conference in Japan focusing on sustainable design. This collaboration is an implementation in international networking. Sustainable design has a very important role in Village Revitalization. At the moment, Japan is also experiencing the same henomenon where a lot of villages are abandoned. However, the high living expenses and pressure living in the city start a returning to the village movement. Due to this collaboration, this conference has 2 names, The 1st International Conference on Village Revitalization and The 9th International Conference of Design for Sustainability – Destination 2014-2018.
