Indonesia patut berbangga karena merek-merek yang lahir di tanah air mampu menjadi merek yang dapat bersaing di negeri sendiri bahkan di pasar internasional.
Survei Indonesia Original Brand dilakukan pada April-Mei 2013 meliputi 5312 responden di 6 kota besar: Medan, Jabodetabek, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya dan Makassar dengan empat kriteria: 1) Satisfaction: Kemampuan merek memenuhi fungsi utama, kualitas merek dan perbandingan manfaat dan biaya; 2) Loyalty: Seberapa besar responden benar-benar menyukai sebuah merek dan kemungkinan menggunakan merek di masa depan; 3) Advocacy: Seberapa kuat sebuah merek menciptakan faktor word of mouth, rekomendasi pengguna terhadap merek dan daya tolak merek dari isu negatif; 4) Local Brand Competitive Level: Tingkat kompetisi merek terhadap merek asing.
Malam Penghargaan Indonesia Original Brand 2013 berlangsung di Grand Ball Room A, Hotel Intercontinental Jakarta pada Kamis, 4 Juli 2013.
